The New York Yankees announced that four more players will be added to the active roster on Sunday. Part of the reason for the additions is that AAA Scranton/Wilkes Barre ended their season on Saturday night, and two players were reinstated from the IL.

Infielders Gio Urshela and Thairo Estrada came off the IL. We knew that both players would be back soon, but it came off as a bit of a surprise that it was this soon.

Urshela was batting .331 with 18 home runs and 67 runs batted in before he was injured. Estrada was batting .246 in just 57 at-bats.

Catcher Kyle Higashioka and infielder Breyvic Valera were also recalled from AAA as Scranton’s season concluded. Higgy is batting .256 in just 39 at-bats, while Valera is batting .219 in 32 at-bats.

All four players will look to make an impact for the Yankees down the stretch.
