As September 1st rolls around, the roster expands to 40 players and the first player that the New York Yankees have brought up is Clint Frazier.

Frazier, just days away from turning 25, will be making his first MLB appearance since June 16th. He was sent down due to attitude problems and poor defense. He bat .283 in almost 200 at-bats, mashing 11 home runs and driving in 34.

Frazier bat .247 in AAA with just eight home runs in almost 250 at-bats. He worked a lot on his defense, but will likely spend a lot of September in a DH role.

His attitude was partial to the reason why he was sent down. He said some questionable things to the media, and was trolling the Yankees on twitter and instagram during his stay in Scranton.

Along with Frazier, pitchers Chance Adams, Ryan Dull, and Tyler Lyons were called up from AAA. David Hale was also transferred to the 60-day IL.

Big Month For Frazier

Hopefully, Clint Frazier can show that he is an improved player on and off the field.

September could potentially be somewhat of a tryout for him, as he could be a strong candidate to replace Brett Gardner in the outfield next season if his defense has improved. He has a much better arm than Gardner, but his glove lacks.

His offense was where the Yankees needed it to be when in the MLB, but his production dropped significantly in the minors. Hopefully his bat can heat up again and he will be more selective at the plate.

Frazier has a chance to show that he belongs on the Yankees for good, so he needs to take advantage of this opportunity.
