The New York Rangers in the past few games were put in a very tough situation. However, the Blueshirts overcame the odds and embarked on a historic win streak.

In the last five games, the Rangers had a grueling away schedule. They faced the following five teams in order as the away team:

1. Seattle Kraken
2. Calgary Flames
3. Edmonton Oilers
4. Vancouver Canucks
5. Winnipeg Jets

This road stretch was so grueling that New York had to at one point play in four consecutive time zones.

Rangers make history with win streak

The Rangers adapted to the situation and managed to defeat every team during this grueling travel schedule. Now the New York Rangers are on a five-game win streak. What’s even more remarkable is that the Blueshirts made franchise history, as this marks the first time the New York Rangers have swept a five-game road trip in their history.

The fact that franchise history has been made is always a great thing to see. What this stretch showcased is that this team is a lot better than they were last season and that they can have a deeper playoff run.

Peter Laviolette is demonstrating early to be a much better coach to this team than Gerard Gallant was and Blueshirts fans should be extremely excited for the rest of this season. Hopefully, the Rangers keep performing this well, continue to win hockey games and win the Metropolitan Division.
