The New York Knicks are in the bottom portion of the competitive, yet terrible, Eastern Conference. The 9th seed and the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference are only separated by 2 games. Therefore, it’s going to be a battle for every Eastern Conference team on the outside looking in.

Being in last place in the Eastern Conference is definitely not the end of the world. However, a three or even two-game winning streak could change things drastically. Not to mention, an injury or two could change circumstances dramatically as well. Therefore, teams fighting for position in the bottom of the East that actually have depth will have the upper hand as the season progresses. The New York Knicks are one of those teams that actually have depth. Knicks’ depth will show once everybody is healthy and acclimated. Two signings for the Knicks are still missing in action. Those two signings missing in action are Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock. Opposite of what Marc Berman thinks, there’s definitely a chance for the Knicks to be playing meaningful games during the second half of the season. Marc Berman believed otherwise and expressed it during his disagreement about the priority and Fizdale’s management of player development with lead NBA Scout Jonathan Wasserman November 20th on Twitter.

The Knicks are showing improvement and Frank Ntilikina has been surprisingly leading the way on both ends of the court. Knicks have gotten out to big leads against the lowly Cavaliers and the 76ers recently. Once the Knicks improve on closing out games and keeping large leads, Fizdale and the Knicks may celebrate more wins, enough to conquer the 8th seed Eastern Conference Tug Of War.
