The New York Knicks look to continue their winning ways as they head back home to Madison Square Garden. On Sunday, they are set to face the Golden State Warriors in the second and final matchup of the season.

Knicks to be at health advantage against Warriors

However, Golden State will be without a lot of their star power in this matchup. They have a long list of injuries that will significantly affect this matchup.

The Warriors ruled out Al Horford (calf), Kristaps Porzingis (illness management) for this game. Both of them played on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves but are being held out of this affair to manage injuries.

Additionally, they are already without Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green, their main big three as the Warriors continue to fight for playoff position. Currently, they are 32-34 and sit ninth in the Western Conference standings.

Knicks need to take advantage of depleted Warriors

For the Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns is off the injury report after missing their last game against the Pacers with knee soreness. Josh Hart is questionable with knee soreness after missing the last two games, and Jeremy Sochan is questionable after missing the last game with an illness.

The Knicks will be significantly healthier than the Warriors, but they cannot let their guard down. There are instances this season where they have allowed weaker opponents to stick around and compete, and have even taken losses to the Pacers, Mavericks, and Kings.

New York has to avoid falling behind early, as that has been a common trend of late. They need to start the game strong and build momentum from there and take care of business against a depleted Warriors squad riddled with injuries.

The game tips off at 8 PM EST on Sunday.
