Hypothetical Rumor: New York Knicks Trading From 2 to 1 With Phoenix Suns?

Rumors always seem to be linked with the New York Knicks and their fans.  The internet most recently gave us this gem.

Hypothetical Rumor

Say the Phoenix Suns end up with the number one overall pick and the Knicks get the second.  What would the Knicks be willing to give up to move up to the number one spot.

Rumor has it, the Suns are “in love” with Ja Morant.  More than Zion Williamson, which is WILD.  The Suns are crazy anyway.  They did take Deandre Ayton over Luka Dončić, so this would not surprise me.

However taking a look at the Suns roster, they do not have a true point guard.  Especially since the team traded away Eric Bledsoe to Milwaukee.  So, the Suns are in desperate need of a point guard.  Morant could be their guy, but this is all speculation at this point.

What Would The Knicks Give Up?

So, lets say the Suns are at 1 and the Knicks are at 2.  The Knicks may be willing to move up to get Zion, if the Suns do indeed prefer Morant over Williamson.  What and who would they trade?

Knicks Give: 2nd overall pick, Mavericks unprotected 1st round pick, possible 2020 1st round pick and young up-and-coming players.  My guess, Allonzo Trier, Kevin Knox and/or Mitchell Robinson, players with upside.  Frank Ntilikina can be thrown in their too, since rumors about him being dealt on draft night surfaced months ago.

Suns Give: 1st overall pick, Jamal Crawford and a 2020 2nd round pick.

Obviously if this scenario were to occur, the Suns wouldn’t want a big haul for the number one pick.  If the Knicks think Zion is the next coming of Jesus then they have to do everything in their power to make it happen.  A player like this does not come around often, so I would be throwing everything at the Suns for number one pick aka Zion.

Honestly, if the rumors are true.  Williamson will be there at number 2 for the Knicks if the Suns love Morant.  However, these days you can not believe everything you hear.  Zion will still be the number one pick.
