Can The New York Knicks Change Kevin Durant?

Are the New York Knicks in a good spot to land Kevin Durant?

A lot of NBA executives say Kevin Durant to the New York Knicks is a lock.  Some may disagree, but for now, we will run with it.

Durant has not been the most charming of NBA stars this off-season.  He appears to have an awful, lackadaisical attitude while trying to get into fights and ejected.

New York, New Attitude?

Durant has been trash talking everyone all season, most notably Patrick Beverly. While watching him and Beverly exchange words, it begs the question, “Do the Knicks really want him?”  Some will say, dumb question.  However, is he being this way just so he can get out of Golden State or is this just who he is now?

Many believe he is acting this way because he is unhappy and wants to leave Golden State.  To be honest, why would you want to leave that situation, on the best team in the league. But, with his “bully-ish” attitude, the thought did cross my mind wondering if the Knicks want that attitude in the Mecca.

Being in the Garden and the Mecca will be able to change Durant and his bad boy attitude.  He will be in a new situation, where it is his team.  He will be absolutely beloved through the city and his “tough guy” attitude will be gone.

Durant will again become the lovable player that he was in Oklahoma City, before he decided to leave, of course.  However, this is all up for speculation.  But, Durant is one hell of an actor if he can flip the switch on his current attitude if he comes to New York.  Durant is currently the villain, but he will be the hero and savor with the Knicks.
