The New York Jets will take on the New Orleans Saints in MetLife stadium this Saturday for their third preseason game, and here’s what you should expect from the green and white.

The first taste of Adam Gase

The third game of the preseason marks the start of game-planning for opposing teams and getting in the groove of a typical NFL week. We will see what Sam Darnold looks like under Adam Gase’s offense. If the offense comes out hot like they have the past two preseason games, Jets fans should have a lot to look forward to this season.

Gregg Williams

Gregg Williams will have his work cut out for him this week facing the potent Saints offense for at least a half. The 30-year vet will have Drew Brees faceoff against his thin secondary. This is a perfect matchup for the Jets because we will see how Gregg Williams disguises the Jets Achilles heel. If the Jets secondary show any promise, then the Jets will only get better as the team recoups from injury.

Big game for New York Jets backups

The third preseason game is a little taste of reality for most of the reserves in the NFL as the starters play most of the game. For these fringe players to make the team, they will have to contribute on special teams. Some players to watch for will be Valentine Holmes, Trenton Cannon, Anthony Wint, and Stephone Anthony.
