The New York Jets’ draft picks, and opponents for 2023 are official. After a 7-10 finish, the Jets came in last place in the AFC East and will have yet another fourth-place schedule. Not only that, but the six-game losing streak to complete the year boosted the Jets’ first-round draft pick quite a bit.

New York Jets 2023 draft picks:
The Jets hold six picks in the 2023 draft, one in each of the first six rounds. The current overall selections in rounds four through six will drop after compensatory picks are announced. At the moment, these are where the Jets’ six draft picks are, per Tankathon.
- 13th overall, first round
- 44th overall, second round
- 75th overall, third round
- 112th overall, fourth round
- 144th overall, fifth round
- 178th overall, sixth round (from the Houston Texans)
Between the 2021 and 2022 NFL drafts, the Jets had as much premium draft capital as anyone to work with. Not only because they were coming off two and four wins seasons but the significant returns they got for Jamal Adams and Sam Darnold. Over the last two drafts, the Jets made seven picks in the top 40 selections. Something they will not quite have the luxury of this year.
The Jets’ first selection, 13th overall, is in the range they took Alijah Vera-Tucker and Garrett Wilson. At 44, the Jets are a few selections behind where they were able to draft Elijah Moore and Breece Hall. Getting, once again, two immediate impact players at 13 and 44, as well as possibly a third at 75, will be crucial for the Jets to make the playoffs in 2023.
New York Jets 2023 opponents:
The Jets are scheduled for nine home games and eight road games in 2023. However, the Jets get a huge advantage with one of their road games being against the Giants, essentially giving the Jets a 10th game at home. Below are their home and away matchups.
- Home: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons
- Away: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants
Outside of divisional matchups, the Jets get the entire AFC West. Also, within the conference, the Jets split home and away games between the AFC North and South, with the Texans at home and the Browns on the road.
Then, out of conference, the Jets get the NFC East and, as stated above, some help with a road game against the Giants. The final game to make note of is the Jets get the fourth-place NFC team from the South division, in the Atlanta Falcons, once again, at home.
