Frank Gore is among those with new digits as the New York Jets confirmed what their remaining newcomers’ uniforms will look like.

New number, who’s this?

According to team reporter Ethan Greenberg, several more New York Jets newcomers have been assigned their jersey numbers for the upcoming 2020 season. We covered the first batch of new unis, so check out some facts and figures with the fresh digits from One Jets Drive…

No. 25: RB Frank Gore

In his fifth NFL stop, Gore needed a new number with his prior numbers (20, 21, 23) respectively taken by defenders Marcus Maye, Nate Hairston, and Arthur Maulet. He opts for No. 25, which left behind by the recently-released Trenton Cannon.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 25: S Kerry Rhodes, RB/KR Joe McKnight, RB Scott Dierking

No. 27: CB Quincy Wilson

The No. 31 that Wilson wore in Indianapolis belongs to Bless Austin. Thus, the former second-round pick opts for 27 after coming over in the draft day trade. The departed Darry Roberts wore the number over the last four seasons.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 27: DB Russell Carter

No. 33: S Anthony Cioffi

A New York Jets safety will bar the No. 33 at MetLife Stadium season, but don’t expect Jamal Adams Day just yet. The number now belongs to Cioffi, a Rutgers alum and former CFL standout who was inked to a two-year deal in February.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 33: S Jamal Adams, RB Chris Ivory

New York Jets, Bryce Hall

No. 37: CB Bryce Hall

Apparently unwilling to shell out the necessary tribute to Brian Poole for his college number, Hall moves three digits up to No. 37. It was briefly worn by Maurice Canady in eight games last season.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 37: S Yeremiah Bell

No. 40: DB Javelin Guidry

Guidry, an undrafted free agent out of Utah, had to make a change because his collegiate numerals (28) have been retired in Florham Park/East Rutherford for Curtis Martin. He’ll instead bear No. 40, which has seen some worthy defenders pass through its threads.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 40: DB James Hasty, DB Dainard Paulson, DB Bobby Jackson

No. 45: LB Shyheim Carter

Carter’s single-digit worn in Tuscaloosa (5) is barred by NFL jersey standards, so he opted to simply add a 4 in front of it. Like Hall, Carter is currently on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, but is eligible to return upon receiving the proper medical clearance.

Notable Jets Who Wore No. 45: DB Earlie Thomas, CB Otis Smith, LB Rontez Miles
