The NFL 2020 Draft class is LOADED with talent on both sides of the ball, one position that stands out among the rest is the linebacker class. These are some linebackers that come to mind that’ll make an impact from the day they’re drafted.

Isaiah Simmons, LB, LSU:

Simmons is the type of player defensive coordinators dream to have, Simmons, is a versatile player that can basically play any position you need him to on defense. Simmons is a FREAK OF NATURE, 6’4″, 238 lbs, and even ran a faster 40-yard dash (4.39) than Saquon Barkley!  An NFL team can’t go wrong with drafting Simmons, he will be a day one starter either at linebacker or safety. Offensive coordinators are going to have a HUGE problem game planing against this kid. Simmons will be a top-ten pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Patrick Queen, LB, LSU:

Patrick Queen is going to be a playmaker in the NFL wherever he ends up. Queen will be a three-down linebacker that will bring the BOOM and the ENERGY. Queen to some may be an undersized linebacker, 6’0″, 229 Ibs, but makes up for his size with his closing speed. Queen is a player that blows up plays in the backfield before they can develop, he has incredible contact balance and forms tackles very well. Queen can help out a team like the Giants in that area because in recent years a similar theme has appeared, no one can wrap up and tackle. Queen could end up going in the first round, or early second round. He will also be an instant starter and make an impact from day one.

Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma:

If NFL teams are looking for a guy to make plays from sideline to sideline, Murray is their guy. Murray’s playstyle is eclectic, he relies on his speed which allows him to make more plays than other linebackers. In the 2019 season, Murray had 102 total tackles, 69 solo tackles, and 17 tackles for a loss. Murray is more of the “perfect size linebacker”, 6’2″ 241 Ibs and ran a 4.52 40-yard dash at the combine. A big factor of Murray’s game is how he runs and moves like a safety, player comparisons for Murray could be Luke Kuechly. Murray will be a first-round draft pick and be an instant starter for any team.

Malik Harrison, LB, Ohio State:

Harrison is another linebacker prospect that will make a big splash into the NFL. Another “perfect size linebacker” 6’3″ 247 Ibs. Harrison won’t wow you with his speed but makes up for it by playing aggressive and downhill making plays at the line of scrimmage. During the 2019 season, you would rarely saw Harrison miss a one on one tackle, he has great form and plays with the right fundamentals. He will be a player that is available late second-round, an early third-round, has the ability to be a starting linebacker in the NFL.
