New York Giants: This Week’s Giant Hearts

New York Giants, Saquon Barkley

This week in honor of Veteran’s Day, the New York Giants did a lot of great work for America’s heroes!

Here are some heartwarming stories from this week:

The New York Giants invited BMC John Murphy a native of  Wall, New Jersey, whose career began in 2006 in the Coast Guard and his family as part of his Reenlistment Ceremony.  Giants like Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, Eli Manning, and Coach Pat Shurmur were on hand to chat, sign autographs and thank Murphy for his service!

The New York Giants held an event in which fifteen members from the Wounded Warrior Project participated in a day filled with practice, lunch and video games with Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, and Dexter Lawrence.   A nice day was had by all!

New York Giants defensive end Dalvin Tomlinson has been chosen as the Giants nominee for the Art Rooney Award for his exemplary sportsmanship.  Tomlinson plays with integrity and honor each and every time he steps out on that field and represents the Giants well for this award and beyond!

New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate is auctioning off his  #SalutetoService cleats that he wore in the November 10th game against the New York Jets.  Proceeds from the auction will go to Tate’s charity the Golden Future Foundation which honors our nation’s heroes.  Tate and his wife Elise also attended the 2019 Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America 2019 Heroes Gala with his foundation.  Tate said “It was very inspiring to hear the stories of first responders on 9/11 and our veteran troops which only motivated us to continue supporting this amazing community of those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. It was also a true honor to present an award to @davidgoggins, one of the most incredible humans I’ve ever met! Thank you for having us @iava!”

These are just some of the good things that happened this week in the Giants community, stay tuned for next week’s edition!
