With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, members of the New York Giants spent their days spreading cheer to others and brightening the days of those less fortunate.

Happy Thanksgiving!  Here are some of the heartwarming stories from this week:

New York Giants rookies served meals at Eva’s Village, a non-profit organization whose main goal is to end poverty and homelessness.

New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley proved yet again, he is absolutely stellar both on and off the field.  Barkley, along with his mother Tonya Johnson, handed out 10,000 bowls of Campbell’s Chunky Soup to the Covenant House of New Jersey which helps out the local homeless population with all of their needs.  Barkley said “I’m all about giving back and doing stuff in the community and that’s what Campbell’s is about… so 10,000 bowls today that’s amazing!  It’s special to be able to give back, but when you’re able to do it with your family members and with your mother, there’s nothing better than that!”  Barkley and his mom Tonya truly brightened the days of those at the Covenant House and in turn that made their days!

New York Giants safety Antoine Bethea and his foundation the Bethea Family Foundation visited the Covenant House of New York to serve a pre-Thanksgiving meal to the homeless! Bethea and District 41 Sports Bar hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those in need in the Newport News, Virginia local community.

New York Giants running back Elijhaa Penny hosted a Twitter contest in which fans could guess the answers to questions about his high school, college, and professional football career and win a free turkey for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Penny does such wonderfully great work for the community along with his brothers, through their 2twocentsfamilyfoundation and always gives back any chance he gets!

It is truly wonderful to see all of the amazing things the New York Giants did for the community, helping to spread joy to those in need!  The New York Giants rookies, Barkley, Bethea, and Penny are true game-changers in every sense of the word and they are lucky to have them not only for their talents but for the work they do off the field!

These are just some of the good things that happened this week in the Giants community, stay tuned for next week’s edition!  Wishing you all a joyous and blessed Thanksgiving!
