
Although the New York Giants may have had their share of ups and downs, there were still some bright spots in 2019, most notably off the field!

January Highlights:
Michael Thomas deservedly made the Pro Bowl and participated in Pro Bowl Community Day, serving meals and doing other great deeds
New York Giants legends Chris Canty and Kevin Dockery spent the day at the New York City Montessori School in the Bronx, teaching kids just how essential education is in achieving your goals
February Highlights:
Michael Thomas was awarded the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award at the NFL Honors for his extensive and substantial work in the community. Thomas’ work has helped countless individuals in so many areas. Thomas is truly the classiest, kindest most incredibly giving and this is truly the perfect way to honor all of the absolutely wonderful work he does for all!
Michael Thomas spent the off-season with congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee, learning and engaging with others to create change, proving he is a total game-changer
B.J. Hill and Nate Solder spent the day with individuals at Hackensack Meridian Fitness and Health’ Fitness Festival, stressing the importance of wellness
March Highlights:
Members of the New York Giants spent the day with individuals from the Special Olympics of New Jersey. Garrett Dickerson spent some time on the sidelines with the Monroe Police Department, while B.J. Hill, Chad Wheeler and Kevin Dockery posed with the flag football participants
Former New York Giants running back Rob Martin was a substitute teacher for the second grade at his former elementary school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
April Highlights
Rhett Ellison talked to students at Ioan Prep, teaching them about faith and education and their importance in their daily lives
Zak DeOssie and other members of the New York Giants attended the America Needs You Golf Tournament to help students further their education
Michael Thomas, along with former New York Giants running back Paul Perkins attended the Food Bank for New York City’s #CanDoNYC event to eradicate hunger
Grant Haley, Kareem Martin and Markus Golden participated in the NFL’s Play60 initiative to get kids active
Saquon Barkley met with Jared at the 2019 NFL Draft party, a member of the Make-A-Wish-Foundation of New Jersey spending time with him and his family and posed for pictures
Saquon Barkley participated in this year’s March of Dime Superhero Sprint to bring awareness to helping mothers and babies
May Highlights
Michael Thomas was honored as a Hometown Hero at this year’s Gridiron Gala. Thomas philanthropy and kindness most certainly should not go unrecognized!
Former New York Giants Jonathan Casillas, Avery Moss and Tae Davis and current member Markus Golden visited Lewis F. Cole Middle School to work with student’s and show them the importance of moving
Sean Chandler was honored at the ICL Gala for achieving his goals, overcoming adveristy and helping other do the same
Saquon Barkley hosted a football camp for kids at his alma mater Penn State, teaching kids the essential skills for football and beyond
Wide receiver Cody Latimer went back to his hometown to help those ravaged by a tornado
Former New York Giants Kevin Dockery, Evan Brown, Victor Salako, Nick Gates and Chad Slade worked together to paint a house for Habitat for Humanity
June Highlights
Garrett Dickerson hosted his “Crazy Legs Youth Camp” for a free day of fun and football!
Michael Thomas hosted a football camp teaching kids the game of football as well as leadership both on and off the field
Kenny Ladler hosted a free football camp in his hometown to give back to the communtiy that bred him
Markus Golden hosted a football camp for kids to learn the proper way to play and carry themselves in football and beyond
Former New York Giant Jonathan Casillas also hosted his Forward Progress Camp, helping the youth learn important aspects of football that they can carry with them in the game and life
Freedom Akinmoladun visited a football combine to let kids know how they should always work their hardest in everything they do
Antonio Hamilton’s football camp taught kids that with hard work and perseverance they too can achieve success
Chad Slade’s football camp supported future football players in their paths to the NFL
Tom Coughlin’s Annual Sundae Blitz saw current and former members of the New York Giants spending time with kids and their families
Michael Thomas and long snapper Zak DeOssie attended the Newark Mentoring charity gala
The New York Giants partnered with My Sister’s Place, an organization aimed at ending domestic violence
Wide receiver Sterling Shepard visited Stop and Shop, to bring awareness to food banks and their goal to stomp out hunger
July Highlights
Dalvin Tomlinson taught kids how eating well and physical activity go hand in hand
Saquon Barkley met with George Taylor a young teen diagnosed with cancer, who used Barkley as motivation and inspiration
August Highlights
Antoine Bethea and Michael Thomas gave a $10,000 grant to Binghamton Youth Football program, so that they have the equipment they need to excel in the game of football
Members of the New York Giants, including Kareem Martin, Jon Halapio and Freedom Akinmoladun worked with Project Kind to provide care for the homeless
September Highlights
Saquon Barkley supplied kids with book bags for back to school time
Members of the New York Giants offensive line, including Evan Brown, Spencer Pulley, Mike Remmers, Chad Slade, Will Hernandez, Jon Halapio and Nate Solder spent time with firefighters to thank them for protecting us
Jonathan Hilliman, Jake Carlock, Freedom Akinmoladun went to Burnett Middle School to stress how daily exercise can make a difference
Michael Thomas taught kids in Staten Island, New York about how we can be more in tune with our emotions and properly handle them
Former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, along with Aldrick Rosas, Jonathan Casillas and Will Hernandez hosted a fun filled day for kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Paterson/Passaic for Hispanic Heritage Day
October Highlights
Members of the New York Giants whose families have been afflicted with cancer, stressed the importance of detecting it early
Kareem Martin surprised Matt Gray, an assistant football coach at Park Ridge with tickets to the Super Bowl
Will Hernandez went to Sop and Shop to collect food donations for the Food Bank of New York City
New York Giants rookies visited patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s hospital for a SPOOKtacularly BOOtiful Halloween day!
November Highlights
The New York Giants hosted members of the Wounded Warrior Project for practice and lunch and even got to play video games with players
