The XFL or Xtreme Football League is set to take off in 2020, but the XFL draft is happening this week and a few familiar faces have popped up.  Former New York Giants players Nikita Whitlock, Akeem Hunt, Adrien Robinson, Will Hill, Jhurell Pressley, Brad Wing and Andre Williams most notably, among others have been selected to XFL teams.

Nikita Whitlock showed his versatility as a New York Giant playing both defensive tackle and running back.  Whitlock was drafted to the Tampa Bay Vipers today, where he will succeed due to his skills.

Andre Williams, a running back who was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft was drafted by the Houston Roughnecks.  Williams was a powerful asset to the Giants and can make an impact in Houston.

Alonzo Russell, former New York Giants wide receiver, drafted to the St. Louis Battlehawks, is a go-getter and will surely be pivotal to their offense.  Russell will play along former New York Giants safety Will Hill who was a great defender for the team and will continue to be.

Adrien Robinson, drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft was selected by the D.C. Defenders.  The tight end has always been steadfast at reaching his goals and it will be no different in the XFL.  Another former New York Giant, Jhurell Pressley will join him.  Together, they can make a huge difference in the offense.

Former New York Giants running back Akeem Hunt was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants in 2015.  Hunt has entered the XFL draft where a team will certainly pick him up as he will prove to be an essential part of any offense.  Also, entering the draft is punter Brad Wing who has a very successful stint with the New York Giants.  Any team would be wise to pick up Wing as his competitive edge will prove to be essential for winning.

Be sure to look out for the slew of former New York Giants in the XFL!  We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors and will continue to support them no matter what team they are on!  The XFL got lucky with all of the gems they drafted in former New York Giants, as these players are not only talents on the field, but role models off the field as well!
