On September 26th, 2019, Winslow Township High School hosted an Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet to honor those that have had much success through their outstanding achievements. Former New York Giants’ Julian Talley is among those honorees who received this very well-deserved tribute. Â
Talley was a stellar athlete at Winslow Township High School where his career football totals include 98 receptions for 2,416 yards and 23 touchdowns. He set school records and racked up a slew of awards for his achievements. He also excelled at Track and Field and was named All-State, All-Conference, and All-Group. Â
The success followed him to college where he played for the UMass Minutemen where he proved to be a fast, agile football player. Talley took his talents to the NFL, playing for the New York Giants. He went on to play in the Arena Football League as well, never once giving up.
They say good players inspire themselves and great players inspire others. Julian Talley is the latter. Talley always perseveres and gives it his all, no matter what. He is a role model and inspiration to others. Success isn’t given, it’s earned and Talley proves that each and every day.
His true success lies not in his stats, but in his drive and character. Talley knows the value of hard work by working hard. He pushes himself and gives it his all no matter what new venture he tackles. Talley is humble and stays true to who he is, never forgetting his roots. He is the kindest, warmest, most down-to-earth person you will ever find. Talley always has a smile on his face and lives everyday not only bettering himself, but others. Â
Talley is exemplary and outstanding on the field, but what makes him truly admirable is his persona and demeanor. Good people are hard to come by and Talley is most certainly someone who is special. Being a good person is not valued by status, but how you treat others and Talley excels at that!
