Former New York Giant Deayon Doing Great things

Donte Deayon may be relatively new to the NFL, but he plays like a seasoned veteran.

During his high school years, Deayon was a part of Summit High School’s varsity team as a junior and senior, showing his versatility playing the positions of wide receiver, free safety and running back!  He was a standout, accumulating a total of 17 rushing touchdowns, 16 receiving touchdowns on offense and 49 tackles, 22 interceptions, and three fumble recoveries!

Deayon began his collegiate football career playing for the Boise State University’s Broncos football team.  Hailing from Rialto, California at just a little over 150 pounds, Deayon played at the cornerback position.  At Boise State, Deayon had quite an impressive career, totaling 3 touchdowns, 84 tackles, ten interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.  Deayon deservedly so earned a spot on the All-Mountain West Second Team for three seasons in a row- a testament to his talents!

In 2016, Deayon was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants.  Deayon gave it his all whether he was on the New York Giants’ 53-man roster or on the practice squad.  Deayon showed off his skills during his time with the New York Giants, totaling 13 tackles in eight games.

Currently, on the Los Angeles Rams practice squad, Deayon is still persevering and working hard.  He has never been afraid to put it all on the line and it shows.  He is a hustler when it comes to the game of football and motivates those around him to be their best.  Having gone to a Super Bowl just last year, Deayon is and will continue to be a force to be reckoned with!

Deayon never forgets his New York Giants brothers and always supports them and their organizations.  Currently, Deayon is hosting a GoodEatz 7 on 7 football game along with Jamaal Williams of the Green Bay Packers and other current and former collegiate and NFL players, with evaluation and tryouts starting this November.  Open to middle and high school students only, it will be held in the Inland Empire area which includes Deayon’s former hometown of Rialto, California.  Deayon never forgets his roots and is steadfast in helping give back, building opportunities for the future!

Deayon is most certainly great on the field, but what makes him even more admirable is his drive and character!
