New York Mets have the eighth-best odds to win the World Series

The New York Mets will be playing in their usual National League East division in the 2020 season. However, in the MLB-imposed 60-game schedule, 40 of those games will be against their division rivals (10 each vs. the Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins) and four against each American League East foe.

The geographically-based schedule won’t be reflected in the standings – they will show the regular six divisions instead – but was done with the purpose of avoiding so much traveling around the country.

The New York Mets field an incredibly competitive team, but note that their schedule is going to be very difficult. They will play 10 games against the World Champions, 10 vs. the talented Braves and the up-and-coming Phillies, not to mention four against the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

Despite the evidently tough schedule, the latest World Series odds from DraftKings give the Mets the eighth-best odds to win it all come playoff time.
