The 2018 season for New York Yankees’ Clint Frazier was plagued with odd concussions and vertigo symptoms that forced him off the field.

The young outfielder battled through the adversity and recently publicized his return to the game in 2019.

A changing of the guard:

With the Yankees bringing back Brett Gardner on a one year, $7.5 million deal, the outfield has solid depth but has uncertinaty revolving around the starting group.

Frazier has the ability to be a key piece to the puzzle for a questionable outfield. With Gardner slashing 236/.322/.368 in 140 games last year, “Red Thunder” present a potentially better option in left field.

In 54 games in triple-A ball, Clint slashed 305/.388/.562, drawing promising numbers in a short stint. I would like to see more consistency from him but overall I’m impressed with his potential. He primary displayed a solid amount of power and a keen ability to draw walks in the minor leagues. The ultimate decision to bring him over in the Andrew Miller trade could come back to benefit the Yanks, despite a concern over his long-term health.

The legendary bat-speed Frazier acquires is something to take note of, and surely something to be aware of in the months ahead.
