The first seven games of the 2018 regular season are devastating for the New York Giants, as they face off against the Jaguars, Cowboys, Texans, Saints, Panthers, Eagles, and Falcons. They had a combined record of 68-44 in 2017, breaking .500 by a mile. The only team with a losing record was the Texans, who lost star quarterback Deshaun Watson early on in the year. He will be back in full force to face off against the Giants in week three.

Despite Big Blue earning a 3-13 record last season, they are putting together a superior product with Saquon Barkley, a revitalized offensive line, and a focus on building through the defensive line. Barkley will undoubtedly play a massive role in the first half of the season as they Giants claw their way through a tantalizing schedule.

What comes beyond?

The Giants will be lucky to escape their first seven games with a 3-4 record, but the remaining nine will be no easy feat. After their road game in Atlanta, they will take on the Redskins at home and the 49ers away. As per usual, the Redskins should offer a breath of fresh air, but with Derrius Guice leading their running game, the Giants will have to keep their eyes open.

San Francisco on the other hand signed Jimmy Garoppolo to a massive $137.5 million deal and he will lead their team into battle on Sunday’s. That game will be much more intense than it would’ve been a year ago, where the Giants become their very first win of the season nonetheless.

The remaining games are as follows: Buccaneers, Eagles, Bears, Redskins, Titans, Colts, Cowboys. These are all winnable games, but we can always expect the Giants to collapse to at least one porous team, likely the Colts with Andrew Luck set to return.

The bottom line, the Giants have one of the league’s most talented schedules and maybe even the most difficult, but with upgrades at nearly every position with the exception of cornerback, they might be able to steal a few games.

Predicted record: 9-7

Wins – Cowboys, Texans, Panthers, Buccaneers, Bears, Redskins, 49ers, Cowboys, Redksins

Losses – Jaguars, Saints, Eagles, Falcons, Eagles, Titans, Colts
