Here’s who stood out and some key takeaways from practice:

QB, Eli Manning:

Eli Manning was one of the most impressive players on the field today according to Giants.com. He showed plenty of life in his arm, as he hit Cody Latimer and Hunter Sharp in stride on a pair of deep balls. Manning continued his hot streak with Evan Engran, connecting for a touchdown. He also hit Rhett Ellison on various occasions and Sterling Shepard with a nice highlight grab.

Safety, Darian Thompson:

Thompson, who’s attempting to solidify himself as the team’s starting safety, performed well on Tuesday. He recorded an interception with the second-stringers. Thompson missed most of his rookie season but started in all 16 games in 2017, providing him with some much needed experience. He will look to take his game to the next level in the upcoming season.

WR, Cody Latimer:

With Odell Beckham Jr. sidelined due to the rehabilitation of his ankle, Latimer is getting a lot of action with Eli Manning. During day two of OTAs, Latimer scorched a cornerback, leaving him in the dust, to grab a long touchdown pass from Manning.

“It’s been great,” Latimer told Giants.com before OTAs. “I’ve been with Tyke my whole career. Being able to move here with him has been amazing. I’m glad they put their trust in me and to bring me here. It’s been great learning this new offense. It’s very explosive, throwing the rock around and getting well-adjusted to it. I’ve been in a couple offenses so it is something that catches on easy for me. It is an everyday process. We are all still learning and started at ground zero. We’re doing a good job and everything is coming together.”

CB, William Gay:

Gay is going into his 12th season in the NFL, right alongside long-snapper Zak DeOssie. The veteran corner managed to intercept quarterback Davis Webb late in practice to finish the day. A nice play for a new member of Big Blue.
